Clerodendron's a shrub or a tree
You will never forget once you see
Its pink "starfish"— each beaut
Bears a "pearl", a blue fruit.
That's a drupe, not a berry, or pea.
Clerodendrum trichotomum, also known as clerodendron, is one of about four hundred species naturally living in the nemoral and meridional humid areas of Asia. It is kept as an ornamental shrub or tree in the southern parts of Europe and North America and shown in many botanical gardens.

The white, later light blue and dark blue berry-like stone fruits (drupes), aren't edible, but they look so nice on the chalice of five pink fleshy petals (shaped like a starfish), that it's certainly very surprising to see them for the first time.
